Vapor Pixel has no accounts, no ads and no analytics, and it sets no cookies.
Your drawings, palettes, reference sprite and settings stay in your browser's local storage. We never receive them. Clearing this site's data in your browser deletes them.
When you convert a photo to pixel art, your browser does the work. The photo is not uploaded.
The weather in the title bar: when the page loads, it asks our server for the weather. Cloudflare, our host, estimates your city from your IP address. Our server sends that location, rounded to about 1 km, to Open-Meteo, and shows you the answer. We keep the weather for each area for 10 minutes. We do not store your IP address or your location.
Cloudflare handles every request to this site as our host, under the Cloudflare privacy policy.
Buy me a coffee opens a Stripe checkout page. Stripe collects your payment details under the Stripe privacy policy. We see the amount and the name and email you give Stripe. We never see your card number.

Vapor Pixel is a free web app made by Glenmore Studio, California.
What you draw is yours. Glenmore Studio claims no rights to it.
The sprites in the library are CC0: you can use them for anything, including commercial work. Credits lists each set and where it came from.
Vapor Pixel is provided as is, without warranties. To the extent the law allows, Glenmore Studio is not liable for lost drawings or other damage from using it. Your work lives in your browser, so save copies you want to keep: Save exports PNG, SVG and GIF.
Tips through Buy me a coffee are voluntary and non-refundable. You can cancel a monthly coffee at any time with the Cancel a monthly coffee link in the coffee window; cancelling stops the next payments.
California law governs these terms.

Accessibility
What works with a keyboard:
- Tab reaches every button, menu and window. In the tool column, the arrow keys move between tools, and Home and End jump to the first and last.
- On the grid, the arrow keys move a cursor, Space or Enter uses the current tool on that cell, and Delete clears it. The status line reads the cell and its color. On big grids the view follows the cursor.
- Letter keys pick most tools; each tooltip shows its key. Ctrl+Z (Cmd+Z on a Mac) undoes.
- You can type exact values in the color picker.
- Menus opened from the keyboard open without animation, and the app follows your system's reduced motion setting.
- Dark and light themes.
Known gaps: placing text, and the line, shape and select and move tools, need a mouse, pen or touch. We have not tested Vapor Pixel with a screen reader.
